PI_Forum Brno #7: Equal Opportunities

Why does so much scientific talent disappear along the academic career path – especially among women? This discussion explores the structural and cultural barriers that drive women out of academia and focuses on practical ways institutions and research leaders can better support their retention and progression. The aim is to move beyond awareness and turn shared insight into shared responsibility and concrete action.

What?

An informal space for meeting, networking, and sharing of experience among Principal Investigators working in Czechia, open to all those who hold an independent research group leader position in any scientific field, regardless of age, experience, institution, or nationality.

When and where?

3 February 2026 from 5:30 p.m.

CEITEC MU, room 211 (Kamenice 5, Brno-Bohunice)
